Starbucks goes back to around 1971 in the streets of Seattle’s Pike Place market. A store offering coffee beans of fine quality got its name from being inspired by the tale of Moby-Dick.
A decade later, a man named Howard Schultz from New York came into the picture joining the company. In an awe of the Italian coffeehouses, he decided to turn Starbucks into one of its kind. 1987 is the year when Starbucks changed their brown theme to green, initiating it with the aprons. Starbucks soon then expanded to the nearby areas, which even included Canada. By 1996, they made their brand cross the Pacific and reached Japan, by 1998 it was in Europe, and by 1999 Starbucks was established in China. Starbucks embarked their journey slowly and gradually but with great determination and held different ethnicities captive of their taste.
